History Books for some Summer Reading By Jack Kartchner If you are bored and are looking for something to read this summer you might want to consider some historical fiction books. Historical Fiction books are interesting because they tell you about things that happened in history but create a fun story with the characters they create. They are exciting because they help you imagine what it would be like to live at that time in history. Here are a few books I would recommend to get you started. Johnny Tremain by Esther Forbes: Johnny Tremain is about a boy who is a silversmith apprentice at the beginning of the revolutionary war. An accident changes his plans for the future but gets him involved with the Sons of Liberty and the events that start the Revolutionary War.
