Marble Racing

          Right now it is hard to find a good sporting event to watch or play. Are you missing your team sports? Are you sad you can’t watch any sporting events? Maybe you were looking forward to the Olympics this summer and are disappointed to miss out. If you miss playing sports or watching them then I have the thing for you: marble racing.
          I found Marble racing with my dad on YouTube. Marble racing is a fun show where someone sets up courses and races marbles. There are several different types of courses and events. Some of the courses are on the sand. They sometimes have obstacles, bridges and cool curves. They also have regular marble courses, like the ones you buy with elevators, half pipes and funnels. Some marble racing also has olympic games with marbles for those who are sad they are missing out on the olympics this year.
          I also like that the marbles have cool names that go with the color of the marbles. Some of my favorite names are; Black Knight, Blue Moon, Flash, Lollypop, Blizzard Blaster, and Snowball. The person on the channel announces the races this makes it more exciting to the people watching it.
          It is very entertaining but it is more fun if I choose a marble I want to win and cheer it on. Sometimes it even wins. I think this is a very entertaining sport and I think you should try it too, especially if you are missing out on sports right now. You might even want to set up your own marble race. Lets Shake Things Up   by Jack Kartchner            Recently there was an earthquake in Salt Lake City. It was a 5.7 magnitude earthquake with aftershocks continuing for a long time. Maybe you felt it at your house. Maybe you have been wondering, how do earthquakes happen? I can tell you.           So how does an earthquake start? The first thing to know is that the Earth’s crust is made of lots of pieces. Think of it like this, the earth is like a puzzle it has many different pieces that connect together.
